[Dan Heng doesn't normally make posts like this. When he does, it usually means something serious. Even though it's April Fool's Day, it's hard to imagine him doing any kind of prank given his personality.

He's currently in his home office. Cirrus the Altaria is being held in his lap, and there's a faint humming from her that can be picked up from the phone's mic. People have most likely noticed that he's been wearing an ear cuff since late March as well.]

I apologize for the timing of this post, but I wanted to make sure of some things before saying anything.

[The dragon glances away for a moment before looking back at the camera again.]

Some of you may already know, but to make sure that we're all on the same page.... Two years ago, I was nearly killed by a woman who had a grudge against me. That lead to me being possessed by a powerful demon. My price was a usually highly painful hunger after using any power associated with my title of Imbibitor Lunae. Cloudhymn is what we called it, though here it would be considered Water magic with some abilities of the other Elements added to it. My other magic would also lead to hunger, but nowhere near as much as using cloudhymn.

Recently... [And here it seems to pain him to just admit to it. He is a dragon.] I've been losing control over my cloudhymn. Vritra seems to be the cause of it. A couple of weeks ago, he had used my cloudhymn to attack me. I think it was both punishment and a test. Blade has made an accessory for me to wear that will block my access to cloudhymn, but it's not a perfect solution.

[Dan Heng pauses. Cirrus coos before hugging him with her fluffy, cloud-like wings. For a moment, his shoulders relax as a shadow of softness crosses his face.]

For any of my Biology students, I have prepared online lectures and homework from now until the day before final exams. I do have a proctor I can call in for the final exam if I'm not available to do it myself. I've let my department head know to expect a call from my family about my absence.

Professor Oak has been informed as well. I... simply didn't want anyone else to be blindsided.
